Impression Pendants use found textures in the physical world as jewelry molds. They are made by creating impressions from textures found around the world from historically and culturally significant landmarks and objects. Each pendant is individually hand-sculpted and hand-fired.
This impression is from the front facade of The Decker Building, the site of Andy Warhol's studio, known as "The Factory."
Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American artist and film-maker who was a leading figure in the Pop Art movement. His New York studio called “The Factory” was a gathering place of artists, celebrities, drag queens, playwrights and Bohemians. In 1967 he relocated his studio to the 6th floor of 33 Union Square West (The Decker Building) in New York City.
